1. When a sufficient amount of bone, or bone of proper quality, cannot be easily and safely obtained from the patient, the surgeon shlould consider syngenesioplastic grafts or homografts.
2. The results with homografts especially syngenesioplastic grafts warrant wider use in certain conditions.
3. To date, there is no factual evidence to prove that homografting, in selected cases, is not a sound surgical procedure.
4. Greater experience with homografts may advance the art of orthopaedic surgery.
