Inadvertently, part of the copy was omitted in the January, 1963 advertisement for Aeroplast Corporation which announced that the name of Vi-Hesive® Adherant (the adhesive component of the Vi-Drape technic for surgical draping) has been changed to Vi-Drape® Adhesive. We hope that the following paragraph will clarify any misunderstanding the omission may have caused.
Vi-Drape® Film is an intact plastic sheet which provides a barrier to fluids, to bacteria, and to "soak through" contamination. Prior to incision, the film is adhered to the surgically prepared operative field with Vi-Drape® Adhesive, formerly called Vi-Hesive Adherant. There is no change in the product, just the name. "Vi-Drape" now designates the method of surgical draping which uses both an adhesive and a plastic film.
