As The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery enters its 105th year of publication, the Trustees reaffirm our commitment to the global orthopaedic community to provide our readership with "the best" clinical research studies, basic-science articles with clear clinical relevance, and discussion forums of the important issues of the day. By our commitment to "Excellence Through Peer Review," The Journal makes the promise to provide authors with the best critical analysis of their work to ensure that the manuscript will be improved whether eventually published in JBJS or another journal. The goal of The Journal is to publish articles that impact our profession now and in the immediate future across the many disciplines of orthopaedic surgery.
