The book is a winner. The organization is superb, particularly with the color-coded sections dividing the sub-topics, making it wonderfully easy to use as a reference text. Similarly, the quality of the authorship is excellent, giving each chapter a sense of true authority. The quality of the illustrations and photos is outstanding and furthers the appeal of this text. In addition, the editors should be commended for providing up-to-date, thorough yet concise summaries of the many complex topics covered in this book. In summary, this book is the current definitive text on the subject of sports medicine for the orthopaedic surgeon and is a must have. All sports medicine fellowship directors should consider giving this text to their emerging fellowship classes.
