Numerous options are available for femoral reconstruction, including cemented fixation, cementless fixation with use of proximally porous-coated implants, cylindrical extensively porous-coated implants, modular and nonmodular tapered fluted stems, impaction bone-grafting, allograft-prosthetic composites, and proximal femoral replacement (megaprostheses).
