In the article entitled "Perioperative Testing for Joint Infection in Patients Undergoing Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty" (2008;90:1869-75), by Schinsky et al., the units for the synovial fluid white blood cell count were reported as being measured per milliliter and the units for the C-reactive protein level were reported as milligrams per deciliter. The correct measurements are per microliter for the synovial fluid white blood cell count and milligrams per liter for the C-reactive protein level.
