The Board of Trustees of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery is very happy to introduce, to our readers, our new CEO/Publisher and our new Editor-in-Chief. Last year, the Trustees made the major strategic decision to separate the CEO/Editor-in-Chief position into two positions: CEO/Publisher and Editor-in-Chief. At this time of extraordinary change in publishing, the Trustees determined that The Journal would be best served by providing clarity of focus for The Journal's dual imperatives of maintaining editorial excellence and integrity while successfully transitioning to a new era in medical publishing.
